TOP 8 MEDICAL WEB SERIES / MEDICAL DRAMA TO WATCH
1.THE GOOD DOCTOR :
The main character, Dr. Shaun Murphy, is a young man with autism and savant syndrome, and the show examines the challenges he faces trying to work alongside his neurotypical peers who don't always understand the way he behaves (he's referred to as "really weird" by one). There are childhood flashbacks involving bullying and abusive family members.
Freddie Highmore (Bates Motel, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory) stars as Dr. Shaun Murphy, an up-and-coming surgeon who also happens to have autism and savant syndrome. This is a very difficult role for anyone to play given how broad the autism spectrum truly is. Some criticism has occurred as many TV productions and films try to address autism issues. There is no “one size fits all” in attempting to define characters on the spectrum.
2. THE RESIDENT:
An idealistic young doctor begins his first day under the supervision of a tough, brilliant senior resident who pulls the curtain back on all of the good and evil in modern-day medicine. Lives may be saved or lost, but expectations will always be shattered.
The Resident is an American medical drama television series that premiered on January 21, 2018, on Fox as a mid-season replacement during the 2017–18 television season. Based on the book Unaccountable by Marty Makary, the series focuses on the lives and duties of staff members at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital, while delving into the bureaucratic practices of the hospital industry.
3. HOUSE M D :
Gregory House, M.D., often construed as a misanthropic medical genius,[85] heads a team of diagnosticians at the Princeton–Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey. The series is structured around a central plot with some supporting secondary stories and narratives that cross over seasons. Most episodes revolve around the diagnosis of a primary patient and start with a cold open set outside the hospital, showing events ending with the onset of the patient's symptoms. The typical episode follows the team in their attempts to diagnose and treat the patient's illness, which often fail until the patient's condition is critical. They usually treat only patients whom other doctors have not accurately diagnosed, and House routinely rejects cases he does not find interesting.
4. SCRUBS:
The young interns of Sacred Heart may be well on their way to becoming fine doctors, but right now they're still learning the ropes. Patients present one new challenge after another, and as "newbies," the interns get dumped on constantly by senior physicians and even the janitor. SCRUBS is grounded in the experiences of Dr. John Dorian (J.D., played by Zach Braff), a still-somewhat-innocent and awkward physician out to impress his elders and become a great doctor. He doesn't always succeed in getting the approval and validation he craves, but in his active fantasy life he's godlike.
5. THE GREY'S ANATOMY:
GREY'S ANATOMY is a hospital-set dramedy that follows the lives of five interns (who, over the course of the series, become full-fledged doctors) as they adjust to their new surroundings at Seattle Grace Hospital. The series' opening scene takes place during the awkward morning after a one-night stand between the show's namesake, Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), and neurosurgeon Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) -- who, as it turns out, also works at the hospital. From there, the story evolves to include other interns, tenured doctors and the various patients they treat.
6. DR ROMANTIC:
A genius surgeon with a flair for romance and a scarred past moves two struggling doctors away from the operating table manual and teaches them the true value of saving a life.
7. DOCTOR STRANGER:
